Phone

I often think of life's regrets,
the procrastinating moments,
The times we never met
up, or our failed plans,
To meet for lunch,
To take a walk in the woods,
Or treat ourselves to brunch.
All the phone calls I didn't make,
The unreplied text messages,
For granted, I did take.
And now you've found another,
A more attentive lover,
One that showers you with praise,
And brings joy to your days.
As for me, I sit alone,
Regretting the times I didn't phone.
