... read and listen to what people think about the work they do.
The Way of the World
This is the way of the world,
Cars lined up on grey tarmac under grey skies,
Sound my morning alarm.
The milk curdled before it meets my coffee …
Black then, with shades of grey to take the edge off.
The sea nearby is strident,
Laughing at my disgrace.
I wish I could travel back 5000 years,
And sail to the edge;
And black out the grey,
But instead I drown in the dregs,
Of scalding coffee,
And ride to work on the pain.
This is the way of the world.

Makes me think that ...
As we make our way to work a plethoric confusion of feelings and emotions often flood our minds as we anticipate the forthcoming day. Humphrey offers thoughts on some of hers.
