The Amazing Shit Fairy

You are my amazing shit fairy.
Spraying problems with wild abandon.
You turn them out by the bucket load.
Some really are quite random.

You make my world just more chaotic.
Oh woe my troubled mind.
You bring me crap in huge abundance.
You really aren’t that kind.

But wait a minute, and here’s my solace.
My nice warm fuzzy glow.
As for every turd you leave with me.
A solution I must sow.

And so I do, with a smug grin.
Solving what you cannot.
Ever wondered why I win.
It’s cause I fix your shitty lot.

A Different Coloured Cow

2015

Makes me think that ...

So, you have heard of the fairies at the bottom of the garden. You have laid awake at night as a child with a baby molar under your pillow in expectation of the visit of the Tooth Fairy. Now “a different coloured cow” introduces you to the Shit Fairy!

The hierarchy that often frames people’s work lives can leave you feeling you are always clearing up other people’s mess. Recognising mess as opportunity and priding yourself on an ability to provide solutions can leave you with “a nice warm fuzzy glow”. I wonder what the shit fairy looks like …
